Cryptoprocessing | Introducing Payment Requests: a more flexible way to accept crypto payments for our merchants

At CryptoProcessing, we continue to develop payment infrastructure functionality for our current merchants and their customers.

Today, we’re excited to inform our current merchants about Payment Requests, a payment link functionality intended to support more flexible payment timing and refund handling within existing service arrangements.

What are Payment Requests?

Payment Requests are shareable payment links that may be used by current merchants to receive cryptocurrency payments within supported service flows.

Unlike traditional crypto invoices, which expire after 15 minutes, Payment Requests let merchants decide how long a payment link remains active. Current merchants may set a payment window aligned with the relevant business process, from a few minutes to several weeks, where supported.

This functionality may support payment flows where additional timing flexibility is required.

Why we built Payment Requests

For years, crypto invoices have been an effective way to accept payments online. However, a fixed 15-minute payment window doesn’t work for every business.

Some customers need more time to complete a purchase. Some businesses have longer sales cycles, such as bookings, pre-orders, subscriptions, or account top-ups.

Payment Requests solve this challenge by giving merchants control over payment expiration.

How Payment Requests work

Flexible payment windows

Choose how long a payment request stays active:

  • Set a duration in minutes, hours, days, or weeks.
  • Choose a specific expiration date and time.
  • Adapt payment timelines to your business needs.

Whether you’re running a fast checkout flow or accepting payments for future services, Payment Requests can support your process.

Better checkout experience

Each Payment Request generates a dedicated payment page where customers can:

  • Select their preferred cryptocurrency
  • Choose their preferred blockchain network
  • Review the final payment amount and exchange rate before proceeding
  • Receive payment details
  • Send the transaction
  • Receive payment confirmation

The clear step-by-step flow helps reduce mistakes and failed payments.

Payment link sharing

Once created, each Payment Request generates:

  • A secure payment link.
  • A QR code for quick access.

Current merchants may share the payment link or QR code through approved customer communication channels, where supported.

Built-In refunds

Payment Requests also make refunds easier.

Current merchants can create full or partial refunds directly from the Back Office. Customers receive a secure refund link, provide their wallet address, and receive their funds without complicated manual processes.

This is intended to support a more structured refund process and reduce manual coordination.
